Get to Know Me

I have been doing Theatre since sophomore year of high school but it wasn't until I went to community school, over at Broward College, where I started developing my craft. Originally, I had no plans to do anything after graduating high school; my mom was the one who encouraged me to apply and further my education. Once I received my associates, I decided to work a little bit in production. I was over Bombshell Productions and did some freelance work for the IATSE Local 500. Eventually, I decided to audition for the Acting BFA program at the University of Central Florida. I wasn't expecting anything out of it but when I received my acceptance letter I knew I had to take a chance. When I moved from South Florida to Orlando, it wasn't easy but I made it happen. UCF is where I was able to learn about different acting techniques and expand my physical and vocal capabilities. Over the past couple years, I've been given plenty of opportunity and have had the pleasure of meeting, and even working with, really talented people.
What got me into Acting?
Christian grew up watching movies. Mostly Sci-Fi and Superhero Movies. His father was the one who introduced to so many wonderful pieces of cinema. The earliest film he remembers watching was Jim Carrey's The Mask. As a kid, he'd always impersonate the character, recreate scenes, and even dance the Cuban Pete in front of his parents. At that age, he didn't have a full comprehension of the difference between fiction and reality. It wasn't until later that he realized none of it was real; that it was just a movie. Jim Carrey wasn't actually Stanley Ipkiss or The Mask. Regardless, his performance felt real. Christian believed that when Stanley Ipkiss put on this ancient artifact, he was possessed by the spirit of Loki and unveiled his inner wackiness, jazziness, and passion for cartoons. Something about how he brought such authenticity to the role captured his attention. In fact, with everything he's done, Jim Carrey has shown that he has such range and capability to bring life to many different characters. This what inspired Christian to pursue a career in film and television.

Besides Acting?
Christian loves Acting but it’s only part of who he is as a person. He always tries to broaden his horizons and try new things. In his spare time he enjoys being with family and friends, or prioritizing self care with watching cartoons, drawing, painting, playing music, building LEGO sets, skating, biking, cooking, reading comic books and going to the gym. Once graduated, he also plans on getting certified as a physical trainer. If you can't tell, he loves having the perfect balance of staying inside and enjoying the outdoors. Christian is always up for exploring new and exciting places.
